He has been the Minister of Digital Affairs since April 2018, and previously, since September 2016, he held the position of Secretary of State in the same ministry. He is a member of the Sejm of the eighth term of the Government of the Republic of Poland.
He was born on the 6th of August 1967 in Kamień Pomorski. He graduated from the University of Szczecin, Faculty of Humanities, where he majored in pedagogy. He also finished postgraduate studies in finance and banking at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences. He is married with two children.

In 2005-2006 and 2009-2015, he was affiliated with the European Fund for the Development of Polish Villages Foundation.
He has many years of managerial experience. He served as President of the Management Board of Wipasz S.A., Poręczenia Kredytowe and Pomeranian Radio Station, he also worked as Editor-in-Chief of TV GryfNet and the Punkt Widzenia publishing house.
